My work sits at the intersection of democracy research, queer politics, and social justice. I am interested in how political and social dynamics shape one another – and what this means for questions of belonging, citizenship, identity, and collective mobilization.
As a Senior Scientist at the Department of European Politics and Democracy Research at the University of Krems, I conduct research in international projects on the representation and political participation of marginalized populations. Previously, I held positions at universities in Germany, the United States, and the Netherlands.
Alongside my academic work – including numerous publications and conference contributions – I regularly appear as an expert on LGBTIQ+ issues in German-language and international media.
